Review Process The private equity capital providers affiliated with the website have reviewed thousands of potential target acquisitions and completed dozens of transactions. An introductory phone discussion will look to leverage our transaction experience with your industry expertise to review the industry strategy, potential acquisition candidate and deal dynamics for your specific transaction or idea (many times, target companies will go unnamed until later in the process). Once a deal and team are qualified, they will be matched to a private equity capital provider and an indepth face-to-face meeting will occur. The basic preliminary discussion includes:
- Deal Overview
Gerneral open discussion of the situation dynamics in the event you have a target company lined up for acquisition. Be preapared with ownership, revenue, cashflow, transaction type, industry, investment thesis etc.
- Strategy Review
A brief strategy session that explores the investment thesis being presented in a potential transaction or industry strategy. Is the strategy and rationale sound and will you be able to raise private equity capital?
- Deal Tactics Overview
You know of a deal or have heard a bank is bringing it to market. Perhaps you are looking for a particular type of company...How do you find that deal or that company? Should you bid without an equity sponsor? How do you lock up a deal and/or an equity partner?
- Operating Partner Tactics
Discussion around teaming up with equity sponsors to actively pursue deals in your focus area. What can you expect? Does it work? How can you make it work?
- Private Equity Introductions & Handoffs
Once qualified, an introduction will be made to the appropirate private equity firm that can help you succeed.
